Repairs & Upgrades

Broken, slow, or
just not right?

Bring it in and we'll find out why — properly. You get a diagnosis, a price, and a straight answer about whether the fix is worth it, before we start any work.

Common issues

What comes through the door

These are the faults we see most weeks. If yours isn't on the list, it's still worth asking — odds are we've seen it.

Won't power on or post

Dead press of the button, fans spinning with no display, or a board that lights up and goes nowhere. Usually power delivery, memory seating or a failed component — we isolate which.

Blue screens & random crashes

Intermittent reboots, BSODs mid-game, freezes on the desktop. We read the crash dumps and test memory and storage rather than guessing at drivers.

Overheating & loud fans

Thermal throttling, jet-engine fan noise, shutdowns under load. Dust removal, fresh thermal paste or pads, fan curve tuning and airflow correction.

Slow performance

Long boots, stuttering, apps hanging. Often a dying drive, a full boot volume or startup clutter — we find the actual bottleneck before selling you parts.

Virus & malware removal

Pop-ups, browser hijacks, ransom screens and fake support warnings. Cleaned out with your files kept intact wherever it's safely possible.

Storage failures & data recovery

Clicking drives, corrupt file systems, drives that vanish from BIOS. We attempt recovery first, then migrate you to healthy storage.

Laptop screens, keys & ports

Cracked panels, hinges that won't hold, dead keys, and charge ports that need a wiggle to work. Replaced with quality parts, not the cheapest listing.

Upgrades

SSDs, memory, graphics cards, power supplies and cooling. We check compatibility and headroom first so the upgrade actually gets you something.

Windows & software problems

Failed updates, broken boot records, driver conflicts, printers that refuse to cooperate, and clean reinstalls with your data carried over.

Customer reviews

What people say afterwards

Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the valley. Here's some of it.

My son's gaming PC had been crashing for months and two other places just told me to buy a new one. They found a failing power supply in a day and had it back to me for a fraction of what a replacement would have cost.

Sample Customer Agawam, MA · Example review

Had a workstation built for video work. They talked me out of the graphics card I thought I needed and put the money into memory and storage instead. Renders are twice as fast as my old machine and it came in under budget.

Sample Customer Holyoke, MA · Example review

Laptop took a spill and the screen was done. They quoted me on the spot, ordered the panel, and I had it back that week. Explained exactly what they were doing without making me feel stupid about it.

Sample Customer West Springfield, MA · Example review

Ransomware locked up the machine I run my business on. They recovered the files, cleaned it properly, and set up a backup so it can't happen the same way again. Saved me a very bad month.

Sample Customer Chicopee, MA · Example review

First place that actually told me my old tower wasn't worth repairing instead of taking my money. They moved my drives into a new build and I kept everything. Honest people.

Sample Customer Westfield, MA · Example review

They picked the computer up from my house, fixed the overheating problem, and dropped it back off two days later. Runs quieter now than when I bought it.

Good to know

Repair questions we get a lot

Nothing. We'll tell you what's wrong and what it costs to fix at no charge. You only pay if you approve the repair, and the price we quote is the price you pay unless we find something else and check with you first.

Most repairs are done within 48 hours of approval. Jobs that need a part ordered depend on shipping — we'll give you a realistic date up front rather than an optimistic one.

Not if we can help it. We image the drive before any work that puts data at risk, and nothing gets wiped without your explicit go-ahead. If a drive has already failed, we'll tell you honestly what the recovery odds look like before you spend anything.

Absolutely — most of our repair work is on machines from elsewhere. Prebuilts, laptops, older towers, other shops' builds. Bring it in regardless of where it came from.

We'll say so. When a repair costs more than the machine is worth, you'll hear that from us along with the alternatives — including moving your drives and data into a new build if that makes more sense.
